My final stop in Scotland (and my 2016 Europe trip) was Glasgow, Scotland's largest city. It is also an industrial city and looked and felt much like it. Unlike Edinburgh, which is a walkable city, most attractions in Glasgow were far apart. I still walked to them as I refused to take public transportation at any point during my trip, but this also meant sore feet and blisters at the end of a day.

Edinburgh and Glasgow offer excellent and worthwhile day tours outside of the city. The most popular ones go to the Highlands, but I chose to do something more history related and visit Hadrian’s Wall. I went with Rabbie’s as they seemed to have the most reasonable prices as well as a variety of tour choices. Rabbie’s also has a cafe where the tour bus departs from, so you have a chance to get food and use the washroom before your tour leaves.

Oh, bonny Scotland. Scotland was my last destination before heading home earlier this fall. I knew Scotland would be great, but I had no idea how incredible, stunning, and wonderful it actually would be. I flew to Edinburgh from Belfast on a rainy Saturday morning.
